How?
We design and manufacture in Poland
Since the very beginning, we've been making all KABAKs in Poland, according to our original projects.
Where exactly? More precisely, we make socks, scarves, hats, blankets and metal pins in the Łódź suburbs. Our candles come from Wroclaw, while belts (as all designs and projects) are from the Polish capital - Warsaw.
Thanks to local production, we can provide workplaces in Poland and offer products that are simply high in quality.
We're vegan
We don't use any animal products or by-products in KABAK's manufacture. As this aim has always been important to us, we're proud to say we've fulfilled it completely!
You can be sure that each product, from socks and belts to paper tapes which we use to close up our cardboard boxes, is 100% vegan.
We use sustainable materials
Since we're already talking about materials: It's time to ensure you that we care not only about the vegan aspect of the products.
We want them to be environmentally friendly too! We use only ecological materials to create labels, tags, and other paper accessories at KABAK. We make them out of Crush (material made of organic waste such as olives or coffee) and Munken.
From this (2022) year, we've based the entire production of KABAK hats, scarves, and socks on organic cotton. The goal is to offer accessories made of this material in every product group available in KABAK.
We focus on efficient logistics
As KABAK strives for full environmental neutrality, we are looking to reduce our carbon footprint not only in production, but also in distribution.
We have moved our warehouse environment to an energy-efficient logistics centre run by a courier company, reducing the average distance our parcels travel by around 50%.
We take a step further
Environmental neutrality is only the first step for us - we aim to compensate fully for the environmental impact of our operations.
However, in order to take successfully the first and subsequent steps in this direction, it is vital to measure the environmental impact first. Therefore, in 2022, as part of the KABAK'S CSR Report, we attempted to measure on our own the carbon footprint of our manufacturing activities.
In 2023, we went one step further and asked a third party expert to provide us with his assistance. The deliverables include KABAK's professional carbon footprint report.
We search for new solutions
At KABAK we pursue the goal of protecting the planet, but we believe that it is impossible to take care of the planet without taking care of the people who live on it. For this reason, we are happy to organise and participate in charitable and social events.
We have a number of creative charity partnerships, including with the Avalon Foundation, the Survivor Foundation (“Fundacja Ocalenie”) and the Wandering Women Foundation (“Fundacja Kobiety Wędrowne”).
